7. When the stepper motor starts operation, sometimes it will not move at once or move back and forth in place, and sometimes it will be out of step. What is the problem?

Examine general to consider the following aspects: 1) whether the motor torque is enough big, can drive the load, so we usually recommend model selection of the user to choose 50% ~ 100% larger than the actual need of the motor torque, because step motor cannot load running, even a moment, can create out of step, serious when a halt or irregular back again and again. 2) whether the current of the input step pulse coming from the upper controller is large enough (>10mA in general) to make the optical coupling stable and conductive, and whether the frequency of input is too high to receive. If the output circuit of the upper controller is CMOS circuit, the driver of CMOS input type should also be selected. 3) whether the starting frequency is too high and whether the acceleration process is set in the starting program, it is better to start from the motor's stated starting frequency to the set frequency, even if the acceleration time is very short, otherwise it may be unstable or even in an idle state. 4) when the motor is not fixed, sometimes this situation will occur, which is normal. Because, in fact, the strong resonance of the motor at this time will lead to the out-of-step state. The motor must be well fixed. 5) for the 5-phase motor, the phase connection is wrong and the motor cannot work.
